Continuous Lung Health Monitoring

I have been working on a project to continuously monitor changes in lung expansion and sounds as a way to detect the onset of respiratory distress earlier than the current state of the art. I started this project as part of 2.75, Medical Device Design at MIT in 2020. We have procured funding from Sandbox at MIT to continue this project and we have obtained IRB approval to conduct feasibility tests to further determine if our metric is viable. We plan to conduct tests at MIT on healthy subjects and at the Brigham and Women's Hospital on unhealthy subjects.
